General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)

Sharing data helps make life easier, more convenient and connected. But your data is your data. It belongs to you so it's important your data is used only in ways you would reasonably expect, and that it stays safe. Data protection law makes sure everyone's data is used properly and legally.

Personal data is any information relating to a person (a 'data subject') who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that person.

By submitting your vehicle details and associated information into the UKMopars register you are consenting to this personal data being used and processed in accordance with the UKMopars privacy policy detailed below.

Your Rights
  • Your right to be informed if your personal data is being used An organisation must inform you if it is using your personal data.
  • Your right to get copies of your data You have the right to find out if an organisation is using or storing your personal data.
  • Your right to get your data corrected You can challenge the accuracy of personal data held about you by an organisation.
  • Your right to get your data deleted You can ask an organisation to delete personal data that it holds about you.
  • Your right to limit how organisations use your data You can limit the way an organisation uses your personal data.
  • Your right to data portability You have the right to get your personal data from an organisation in a way that is accessible.
  • The right to object to the use of your data You have the right to object to the processing or use of your personal data in some circumstances.
  • Your rights relating to decisions being made about you without human involvement Decisions are made about you when your personal data is processed automatically.
  • Your right to access information from a public body Make a request for information from a public body.
  • Your right to raise a concern Tell an organisation if you're concerned about how they are using your data.

What are the time limits?

If you exercise any of your rights under data protection law, the organisation you are dealing with must respond as quickly as possible. This must be no later than one calendar month, starting from the day they receive the request. If the organisation needs something from you to be able to deal with your request (eg ID documents), the time limit will begin once they have received this.

If your request is complex or you make more than one, the response time may be a maximum of three calendar months, starting from the day of receipt.

Our Obligations

UKMopars is only processing data for the purposes of establishing and maintaining a vehicle register to support the members of the UKMopars community. This is not conducted for profit and we only hold information about individuals who are signed-up members of the register. The personal data we process is restricted to personal information that is necessary for this vehicle register.

UKMopars does not share personal data with any 3rd parties and takes all practical steps to ensure that the personal data it keeps is secure.
